Computerized Vision Testing
Enfant™ Computerized Vision Testing
This non-invasive computerized vision testing system can diagnose vision problems in pre-verbal children. This allows for early treatment, reducing the incidence of vision loss due to amblyopia. (Also known as "lazy eye," amblyopia is the loss of one eye's ability to see details. It is the most common cause of vision problems in children.) Enfant™ Computerized Vision Testing is recommended to start for children between six to nine months of age and continue through four years of age. The latest policy statements of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus all recommend timely screening for the early detection and treatment of eye and vision problems in children.
If you have any questions, please speak to your physician, physician assistant or nurse. The testing can be done just prior to a check-up appointment. We will call you to schedule a time.
