Lactation Consultants
Cathy Peters
Nursing mothers often need help after they leave the hospital. We are pleased to have on staff a certified lactation consultant, Cathy Peters, who is available by phone or in the office to answer questions and offer support with breastfeeding. Cathy meets with mothers in our new specialty center, where a lactation room is designed and furnished to provide comfort and privacy for consultations. Cathy works with your physician or physician assistant to monitor your infant’s progress. Additional support for parents of infants between the ages of two weeks to three months can be found in our newborn support group led by Cathy, which is a forum for parents to ask questions, share helpful hints, and connect with other new parents.
Lorna Aliperti
Parents who would like a home visit for evaluation of breastfeeding problems and lactation support can call Lorna Alperti, a certified women's health nurse practitioner and lactation consultant. Please speak to your doctor, physician assistant or nurse if you would like to arrange a home visit.
