New Patients

Welcome! Whether you are choosing a doctor for a new baby, or are new to the area and are looking for a pediatrician for your family, we hope you enjoy our website. At Willows Pediatrics you will find a true "medical home". With our in-office lab and specialists we are well-prepared to assess, diagnose and treat a wide variety of conditions and concerns. If your child needs a referral to a specialist outside our office, we have the experience and expertise to help you find the right care, whether it is in our community or in an academic pediatric specialty center. We know how stressful it can be the first time you are coming to a physician's office with a new baby, or the first time you bring in a child or adolescent who is not used to a new doctor; our goal is to make certain you feel comfortable right from the start.

While our roots are in Westport, Weston, Norwalk, Wilton and Fairfield, we also have long-lasting relationships with families living in Trumbull, Easton, Redding, Rowayton, New Canaan, Darien, Stratford, Bridgeport and many other Connecticut communities.   Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions about our office or getting started with us.

Expecting

When you choose a doctor at Willows to be your newborn’s pediatrician, you are joining a family. Our nurses, lactation specialists, physician assistants and receptionists work to provide the best care and pediatric experience possible. Within our office you will find a newborn support group, a dedicated area for lactation consultations, and CPR and first aid classes for parents, grandparents, nannies and babysitters.  All of our doctors have experience with multiples and infants born prematurely, and can work with your neonatologist if needed.

Many parents enjoy visiting our office before their due date to get acquainted with a doctor, ask questions, and see our office. To do this please call to schedule a consultation. However, a prenatal visit is not required, and you do not need to fill out paperwork for us to take care of your newborn. If you deliver at Norwalk Hospital and have identified one of our doctors as your pediatrician, the hospital will notify us and we will see you and your baby there. If you deliver at another hospital, the doctors on staff will examine your baby. In those instances, please call us from the hospital or as soon as you arrive home to schedule your first office visit.

Typically, we see newborns a day or two after they are discharged from the hospital.  If you give birth at a hospital other than Norwalk Hospital, please bring the newborn health record you will receive at the hospital to your first office visit.

New to the Area

Bringing your child to us is as simple as calling to register. During this phone call we take the names and birthdays of your children, your contact information, and confirm that we accept your insurance. As soon as you are registered we can see your child for sick visits and checkups as well as answer medical questions. During your first office visit we ask that you fill out our family registration form. You may download this form and complete it at home prior to your visit to save time. Parents will also need to bring in or forward to us their child’s vaccine and health records. While we do not need this to start seeing your child, this information is important at the time of a checkup and to fill out school forms.
